John A. Opinski, PhD is the Principal of Synergistic Solutions, L.L.C. A seasoned manager, director, organizational and operation analyst, Dr. Opinski combines current scholarly research and practical methodologies to find holistic solutions for businesses and other organizations.
Dr. Opinski learned the importance of leadership, management systems, proactive and line management decision making while in his late teens and early twenties as a First Lieutenant and Acting Captain in the Garden City Park, N.Y. Fire Department.
Dr. Opinski earned his M.B.A. in Executive Management from New York Institute of Technology while starting up a residential mortgage operation for Irving Trust Company. He then moved on to Citicorp Mortgage/Citibank FSB in the capacity of Assistant Vice President and Regional Credit Manager. Dr. Opinski later served as Vice President of Cityscape Corp. and Northeast Branch Manager.
Throughout his tenure, Dr. Opinski has been instrumental in obtaining Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/HUD and other secondary mortgage market investor approvals and in repairing business relationships and restoring suspended investor approvals. He has revamped and developed new internal operations, resolved compliance issues and achieved national leadership in market share while also reengineering processes and internal and external systems.
Dr. Opinski has also designed and restructured organizations to better fit their objectives while developing and administering product knowledge, sales, processing, credit quality and fraud prevention training.
Dr. Opinski earned his Ph.D. in Organization and Management from Capella University and is an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix and DeVry University where he instructs students in critical thinking techniques and applications, business, management, technology and research methods. He is a Peer Reviewer for the Academy of Management and Mentor at New York Institute of Technology.
